In this video, I want to talk a little bit about the XDG Base Specification which states that certain types of files must go in certain locations. For example, all of your config files should go in HOME/.config. All of your cache files should go in HOME/.cache. And so on. Is the XDG Base Specification a hard and fast rule that you must follow?
