Destiny Season of Opulence focused on your relationship with Calus as you unlocked the Menagerie. Later one of his prisoners takes the Crown of Sorrow and needs to be disposed of in the Crown of Sorrow raid. This may not seem consequential, but it may have effects later in the storyline. In addition to this, it would seem that Calus knows what is coming in the future and has been tempting you to use the abilities of the Darkness. He also seems to have a unique temper toward the Queen of the Reef. The Menagerie has plenty of excellent hidden dialogue about the Vex Mind in Season 8, and what the Hive plan to do in the future.
