Ithaca New York was the sight of heated protests in October of 2020, when left-wing chanted "Fascists Go Home" to back-the-blue supporters.. Tompkins County residents came in force to protest against the Cornell/Ithaca college students. Tompkins County is a county in upstate NY that often votes blue in a sea of red counties. This is due in large part to the influence that Cornell and other schools play on the region, and leads to tensions with more conservative residents of the county.
