Traditional slip casting of ceramics uses a fine dispersion of particles in water, which is removed in the firing process. The concept is basis for a high-tech additive solution developed by XJet.
Hanan Gothait, president and founder of XJet, describes a modern additively manufactured process that jets a ceramic dispersion ink with high precision for intricate parts with layers as thin as 10 microns.
