Delhi has fallen in love with the humble Maharashtrian vada pav hook, line and sinker. What began with 'vada pav girl' Chandrika Gera Dixit’s viral Instagram reel has now resulted in a boom in roadside vada pav vendors-cum-influencers across the national capital – from Laxmi Nagar to Pitampura. What began as a simple business idea has now become a full-blown trend, all thanks to the power of social media. Such is its popularity that Sainik Vihar Road has now earned the nickname ‘vada pav mandi’ with eight stalls popping up there just over the past month, each offering a unique story and flavour.
