We have been working on a commercial solution for repair shops to be able to offer a consistent solution that is also time effective to preform. Unfortunately many of the 2016-2017 models are now outside of the extended warrantee program offered by apple, so we need to step up and offer a professional solution. There are several other methods to address flex gate from soldering thick copper wires to the traces that will break after heavy use or folding over the flexcable while soldering like a sandwich together. We have designed this solution to enable easy, consistent, and solid soldering on a portion of the flex that does not bend - to eliminate flexion based fatigue on the soldered section and lengthen the cable so it will not be stressed like before.
