While tog and flounder seasons both opened in New York waters last week, the main attraction continues to be the stripers in and around the city along with Raritan Bay and stretches on the North Shore. We did see some smaller fish up to the north start to spread east since last week and reports even made their way to the Mt. Sinai area. A positive flounder report along with word on tog being around already also made for some more encouraging information. We additionally have a rundown of some local events going on in the near future along with our contributor reports. And to top it off another lure giveaway. All you have to do is submit a fishing picture to mbroderick@thefisherman.com to be entered in the random drawing that will be announced in next week’s video.
