Many games have lore that is downright awful. But I can not think of a game that started off so good and then completely lost it's way to the tune of a triple A budget. But before it's sharp decline, it had a promising beginning. In fact many still look back on it's old direction quite fondly. So what went wrong? This is how Siege's decision to abandon it's roots in favor of appealing to a non existent crowd caused it to write the most pathetic and forgettable lore in modern gaming. I'd be interested to know of a modern game that spent so much money on such a universally ignored universe. #rainbowsixsiege
