People interested in pursuing a career in clinical psychology may not have opportunity to think about issues relating to class, background and identity. Many people who come from a working-class background may face different obstacles to accessing clinical psychology training and have less access to resources such as professional networking. We also know that many people who identify as being working class find their background to be a important and positive part of their identity as a psychologist. These monthly webinars will provide a space to hear about both challenges and positive experiences first-hand, from people who identify as being from working class backgrounds, who are now qualified as or training to be clinical psychologists.
