Broken antenna? City QRM too high? Too cold for portable work? In such situations, remote ham radio will help to get on the air! For remote QRV in different countries there are special rules that must be taken into account. In order to work remotely from Canada, I had to pass an exam to get a local call sign. Canadian rules are very liberal - you don't have to pay for a callsign or ham license, a free suffix can be chosen and the callsign is issued for life!
This opportunity will be very useful to me when I do not have access to the "regular" Shack.
TNX to Rob VE3PCP for helping with his remote station. Rob is doing a great job promoting our hobby!
TNX to Chris VO1DX for hosting ham radio at Signal Hill (VO1AA).
