We went to a local estate sale and found this AMAZING 100 year old antique bubble glass frame!!!
Back in the 1800s, picture frames were made of wood and ornately molded and carved plaster guilt in gold, and featured convex glass which kept the glass from touching the portrait. This of course was before someone smart decided it was easier to make the glass flat and simply put a mat in between the glass and photo.
