On June 22, 2020, the German computer pioneer would have been 110 years old. We want to honor this event with a film about the legendary Z1 calculating machine.
His former companion Lorenz Hanewinkel, chief designer of the vacuum-tube computer Z22, first tells us a little about his time at the Zuse KG, then the curator of the "Deutsches Technikmuseum" Eva Kudrass gives a brief introduction until Klemens Krause takes over and explains the technical details of the wonder machine. Finally, we show a few pictures from Hünfeld, where Konrad Zuse lived with his family from 1957 until his death in 1995.
