In November 2022, fellow Australian Youtuber Shawn Kennedy, who runs the youtube channel RFD Hobby, had a devastating house fire, and pretty much lost everything he owns. Shawn was so devastated he did a walk through of the house, with the intention of saying "Goodbye For Now" as he can no longer make videos as he lost everything. Currently Shawn is waiting on his insurance company and engineers to evaluate the home and concrete slab, to see if the house can be rebuilt, but this will take time, and rebuilding will take much longer.
