DJ Set recorded on March, 2024 on the island of Florianópolis in southern Brazil I have several ways of working on the music research and selection for the sets here on the channel. Sometimes I have a musical theme in mind, a path to be followed, a road that will tell a certain story. But I also like the opposite approach, where instead of preconceived ideas determining the path of research, I like the music to do that on its own and let myself be carried away as if sailing along the course of the waters. Almost like a Freudian process of free association of ideas, I listen to the music and simply let myself be guided by the first reaction without great intellectual elaboration. If the music touched me, if it moved me, if it gave me chills, if it awakened something that I don't even know exactly what it is, then it's in. Today's mix was one of those, it was like closing my eyes to dream and see the story that would be told to me, even if in the end it might not make complete sense, in the complexity of the subconscious there would certainly be a reason why.
