Time-lapse of a signature sunrise over the Philippine Sierra Madre mountain range, with a beautiful close-up of the rolling “sea of clouds” (cloud inversion) that the area is known for.
Shot using a Sony A7RII + Sony 24-240 + Formatt Hitech ND Reverse Grad filter and a Sony RX100IV.
The first and last clips were 360 shots each on the A7RII, and the middle clip is 140 shots on the RX100IV. For the first shot, I used the ND Reverse Grad to even out the exposure between the foreground and the sky to keep the highlights down, which is very important to save the time and effort of doing an HDR time-lapse.
