Kendo Suburi Along Set For Jodan - ( Not for beginners )
This set includes chudan kihon waza as a good chudan forms the solid foundation upon which you can build a good Jodan.
It also includes several forms specific To Jodan and Nito players with a strong emphasis on employing the correct grip for katate waza including Men, Kote and Dou as well as Renzoku / Nidan Waza.
It is strongly recommended Kendoka wait until around Sandan before deciding on taking Jodan or Nito so that one might have a solid grounding in the fundamentals. Please consider the advice of your Sensei first as they know your Kendo and your immediate needs better than the internet ever can.
Warming up is very important before undertaking this level of Suburi practice. Particularly stretches for the wrists. Katate (One handed techniques) significantly increase the risk of tennis elbow, which is already a very common issue amongst Kendoka.
It is your responsability to look after yourself in this regard.
I hope you enjoy the set and leave me a comment to let me know if you did or any feedback you may have.
