My name is Tanya Isa, I'm the founder of kitSF (San Francisco).
In this episode, I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Jay Aigner.
Jay is a host of "The First customer" episodes YouTube channel, where exciting founders of awesome companies tell their story and how they got their first customer.
I recount my extraordinary journey from leaving Ukraine to becoming the CEO of a thriving business in San Francisco. I highlight my ambitious nature from an early age, recalling my first small business venture selling newspapers at the age of 12. My entrepreneurial spirit eventually led me to launch my first business in Donetsk, Ukraine, and later my successful Language Center.
I encountered challenges in my transition to the U.S. market and highlighted the significant differences between the Ukrainian and American markets, emphasizing the size, mindset, and competition disparities. I also talk about the importance of networking, seeking mentors, and constantly learning, sharing my experience with Y Combinator Startup School as a valuable resource.
Let's cross the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to San Francisco as we delve deeper into my unique story!
