The United States Grand Prix is a motor racing event that has been held on and off since 1908, when it was known as the American Grand Prize. The 1908 Grand Prize of the Automobile Club of America, took place at Savannah, Georgia on November 26, 1908. Louis Wagner's average speed for the race was 65.111 mph. Ralph de Palma set the fastest lap in his Fiat, with an average speed of 69.80 mph. Wagner won this very close race in his Fiat, finishing less than a minute ahead of Victor Hémery's Benz.
