When the cystic fibrosis gene was discovered 30 years ago, it gave tremendous hope to the CF community. Johanna Rommens, PhD, a member of the team at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto who helped isolate the gene, speaks about what achieving that milestone felt like and her hope for the future of the CF community.
