Scripted spells will do something more than ‘do this on hit and do this on touch’. For example there is a spell that leaves behind a trail of fire damage. It traces a path and explodes in the end. The team is adding a mix of Morrowind style custom spells and scripted spells kind of akin to Skyrim’s 100 point Master level spells. The Skywind team has replaced Skyrim magic sound effects with new sounds! Also the animations on these spells are unique! This video shows some of them.
