So, what is this song really about? "Oblivion was written about infatuation; being addicted to the high - pure intoxication. The idea of calling this feeling 'Oblivion' came to me because it means: being unaware of what is happening. You're swept away; you're unaware of what's going on. You've put the other person on a pedestal -- and you've disempowered yourself." The emotional crash that comes afterwards is the catalyst for change. "The high is so consuming, that we forget ourselves, and forget Universal Law. What goes up - must come down.
