AR or Augmented Reality can be and is fun. Both to watch and work with. Now; it is still fairly new technology and Adobe Aero - which I used for this fun little movie - is still in Beta.
And of course it was also a pain to develop this movie and it took forever to place this 3D version of Walther in the different scenes. But at the same time, I could not stop laughing, seeing him at my smartphone, via the AR in these different settings.
Just for your information, the locations are Sagrada Familia, Boquria market, The Beach and The Cathedral of Barcelona.
The proces of developing this film was;
1) Find a 3D model of Walther White
2) Dress him up in the lab-suit
3) Import him to Mixamo and set the bones
4) FInd an animation that suits - in this particular setting - the Thriller dance
5) Export it from Mixamo
6) Import it into Adobe Aero software on the Desktop computer
7) Import it and set the trigger to the animation that comes from Mixamo
8) Find locations and have a lot of patience setting it up.
Augmented Reality (AR) has transformed the way we interact with the world around us, blending the physical and digital realms seamlessly. As a technology enthusiast, I find working with AR not only fascinating but incredibly fun due to its endless possibilities for creativity and innovation.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of working with AR is the ability to bring imagination to life. Whether it's designing virtual creatures that roam the real world or overlaying helpful information onto physical objects, AR empowers creators to build immersive experiences that captivate audiences. The process of crafting these experiences is akin to being a digital magician, weaving spells of wonder that enchant users and transport them to new dimensions.
Moreover, AR has a playful nature that encourages exploration and experimentation. From creating interactive games that turn ordinary spaces into fantastical playgrounds to developing educational apps that make learning engaging and entertaining, the potential for enjoyment knows no bounds. There's a sense of joy that comes from seeing users delight in discovering hidden treasures or unlocking new experiences through AR.
Beyond its current applications, the future prospects of AR are incredibly promising. As technology continues to advance, AR devices will become more accessible, lightweight, and powerful, seamlessly integrating into our daily lives. Imagine a world where information is overlaid onto our surroundings, where virtual assistants guide us through tasks with hands-free convenience, and where entertainment transcends the confines of screens to envelop us in immersive narratives.
In fields such as education, healthcare, and industry, AR holds the promise of revolutionizing how we learn, diagnose, and collaborate. Imagine medical students practicing surgeries on virtual patients or engineers visualizing complex machinery in three dimensions. AR has the potential to democratize knowledge and empower individuals to learn and create in ways previously unimaginable.
Furthermore, AR has the capacity to redefine social interactions, bridging the gap between physical distance and digital connection. Whether it's attending virtual concerts with friends from across the globe or collaborating on projects in shared augmented spaces, AR has the power to bring people together in meaningful ways.
In conclusion, augmented reality is not just a technological marvel; it's a playground of endless possibilities and boundless fun. As we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible with AR, the future is bright with innovation, creativity, and new experiences waiting to be discovered. So let's embrace this exciting journey into the augmented realm and see where our imagination takes us.
