New NIAID research finds a majority of parents of children diagnosed with Lyme disease reported that their kids recovered within six months of completing antibiotic treatment. The Department of Veterans Affairs and NIH have launched a study to gain a better understanding, identify biomarkers, and potential treatments of the chronic symptoms of Gulf War Illness. Researchers have identified a strong association between prevalence of prescription stimulant therapy for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and rates of prescription stimulant misuse by middle and high school students.
