The excavation of a sacred spring in Tuscany has yielded rich finds that are making international headlines. The bronze statuary, votive offerings, coin hoards, and plant offerings constitute one of the most important archaeological discoveries in Italy in the past 50 years! The excavation is directed by L' Universita' per Stranieri di Siena, Fondazione Friends of Florence, and Comune e Soprintendenza di Siena.
