Elden Ring is full of nasty, aggressive bosses that will beat you into submission if you let them. One of the most aggressive bosses in the whole game is Elemer Lord of the Briar. Sometimes the best solution is to fight fire with fire. With that in mind, here's how to beat Elemer of the Briar. The first lesson here is to successfully beating bosses in Elden Ring is to get the jump on them when possible. You can sneak up on Elemer, as he starts the boss fight with his back turned to you. Punish this tomfoolery by sneaking up behind him, full charging a melee attack, and letting loose. Elemer of the Briar will immediately respond with a shield slam, so be prepared to roll to the side. From here, circle around to his side attacking. Using a fast weapon like a Katana (such as Moonveil) is ideal. When presented with distance use a powerful weapon art. The strategy here is to beat Elemer of the Briar by staggering him and punishing him with a critical attack. Don't get too far away, as this will seduce him into using his very powerful ranged attacks. As in much of Elden Ring, learning the rhythm of Elemer's attacks is important. Dodge though hide swipes and around his shield slam. If you are aggressive, as is often a good strategy in Elden Ring, this fight should be over quickly.
