You might think you know the answer to this, and you very well might, but the goal posts shift on this topic on a regular basis and the advice from years ago is no longer 100% accurate. So here's an update on how Xeons and Core i7 and i9 etc fair up against each other in 2020. FYI this is a talking & advice piece, there is no physical product demonstrations here. If you want to see high end Xeons being used in anger, head on over to the gaming channels where you can see them being tested on Winzip and Excel.
