Valve has finally lifted the veil on their rumoured handheld PC device - known as the Steam Deck. It's a game changer.
The Steam Deck is allows you to play games directly from your Steam library and runs a modified Linux-based version of SteamOS. It is powerful enough to run many modern PC games at decent graphics settings, although there are known compatibility issues for certain games.
You can suspend games, similar to the Switch or Xbox/PS5, and it can also be used as a PC and docked into a TV or monitor.
It will be available in three models:

▸ 256gb - $529 USD
▸ 512gb - $649 USD
The Steam Deck starts shipping in Dec 2021 (US, Canada, EU, and UK only).

▸ Weight: Approximately 1.47 lbs (669 grams) (~60% bigger/heavier than Switch, almost 6cm longer)
▸ Dock is available but sold separately
▸ DisplayPort and HDMI output, an Ethernet adapter, and three USB inputs
▸ Bluetooth 5.0 with support for any controller, keyboard, or headset (eg Apple Airpods)
▸ You can install Windows and other game stores like Epic or GoG but this will degrade performance
