The Portofino is a two-box hardtop convertible with muscular styling. While retaining its elegance and vibrancy, it gives an extra sporty touch to the overall design of the vehicle. Everything about a Ferrari is checked for aerodynamics. Every bit of underbody and bodywork counts, from the original layout choices to the flow controls that help dissipate heat. the car looks beautiful. At low speeds, the folding hardtop can be raised or closed in just 14 seconds. Portofino development focused on reducing weight. The car's weight has been reduced by 176 pounds from its predecessor thanks to weight-saving measures implemented by Ferrari experts in the car's drivetrain, dashboard construction, air conditioning and heating/electronics system. For the Italian market, the Ferrari Portofino is their version of the open-top GT.
In addition to the revised exhaust, an electronically controlled by-pass valve has been implemented for the first time on a Ferrari, resulting in better reaction and accuracy. Redesigned valves ensure that the sound of the car changes depending on how it is used. Vehicle dynamics have been changed substantially, and new technical options have been used. This is also the first time the F1-Trac has been coupled with a third-generation electronic rear differential, which improves the car's mechanical grip and handling. In addition, the Ferrari Portofino is the first GT in its lineup to use electric power steering. To achieve more efficient steering, engineers reduced the steering ratio by 7% without sacrificing stability.
The Ferrari Portofino, capable of accelerating from 0-124 mph in 10.8 seconds, is perhaps the most formidable convertible to combine the best of a removable hardtop and a spacious cockpit area.
