Pulmonary Hypertension in Solid Organ Transplantation
Dr. Hegab is Assistant Professor of Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Hegab received her Medical Degree from the University of Alexandria, Faculty of Medicine, in Alexandria, Egypt. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in 2012, and went on to complete her Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in 2015, serving as Chief Fellow from 2013-2015.
In September of 2015, Dr. Hegab joined the staff at Henry Ford Hospital in the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. In January of 2017, Dr. Hegab was appointed as Associate Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program as well as the Associate Program Director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. Additionally she serves as Co-Director of the Pulmonary and Hypertension Program at St. John Providence in Southfield.
Dr. Hegab is certified as a VitalTalk Facilitator, Trainer and Certifier. She is a CLEAR Conversations Physician Facilitator for the Henry Ford Medical Group. She is Facilitator/Director of the two-day workshops for the End of Life Communication – Family Meeting Simulation. Additionally, Dr. Hegab has developed a wellness program designed to meet the unique needs of the pulmonary and critical care fellows.
