Hamilton-Verstappen Super Team Suggestions Shot Down
Horner started off by revealing if he is thinking about the sport becoming boring because of the dominance of Red Bull and Max
“My job is to make sure we are winning”
He then suggested that the field will get closer over the next two years
“What you can guarantee is that the field is going to converge and it is only a matter of time”
“You can already see that happening. 24-25, you are going to see the field come much closer”
He then gave his thoughts on forming a superteam with someone like Lewis Hamilton alongside Max to make things more interesting
“For us, sticking two alphas in the car, you take a Verstappen and a Hamilton, that is never going to work”
He signed off by explaining why
“Because then you kill your own team”
“You need to have a dynamic where the drivers drive for the team, not just for themselves. Otherwise, it can become very divisive”
