1. Harper Road - 0:00
2. Duk Koo Kim - 5:43
I greatly apologize for the audio quality. Security was dogging on people with their phones out so I had to keep mine hidden.
I never thought I'd hear Harper Road live, as Mark tends to avoid April tracks in the times I've seen him live. I really love April, but it was likely a painful time in his life so I can see why he'd avoid those songs. Still, I was more than happy when he started his little preamble before playing it. The nostalgia it evokes, the new meaning it takes on in this time in my life, the beauty of it by itself; such a wonderful song. He plays it ever so slightly slower than the album version, which is quite welcome.
Mark actually did not play Duk Koo Kim sequentially after this, it just so happens that they fit together perfectly with no jarring overlap. In fact it was the last song he played that night. I've heard him play it live several times before, and this was definitely my favorite one. It's a lot of little bit of a shame that there was this poor girl suffering from some kind of cough, and she was right next to me. I hope she's doing better.
