It’s safe to say that fishing is in full force right now across the Long Island and Metro area. Stripers have made their way through both the North and South Shores, with Peconic and Montauk seeing some good action. Bluefish took the South Shore by storm and are literally in all creeks, bays, and inlets. The porgy fishing can be described as epic along the island's Northside and in between the forks, with some larger ones touching 4 pounds. Weakfish hit the Great South Bay last week, and the Peconic bite for them saw larger ones to 10 pounds landed. The North Shore also saw some mixed in during porgy fishing.
