Today we discuss the much debated and controversial topic of AI Art. I hope to not have to discuss this often, as I'd rather focus on being great at art, create original work, etc.
A lot of artists have discussed AI Art, going into the legality of it, how it works, etc. We're not doing that today. Instead, we are going to address another problem... a problem of artists wanting to quit because of AI.
If you are wondering if you should quit, please reconsider. By quitting you will only delay an inevitable battle with AI. As they say, judgment day can be delayed, but it will come eventually.
Given enough time, this will affect every industry. At that point, it truly becomes an issue that all humanity will have to face. This is one reason I have hope.
Another is that humans want to connect with humans. People enjoy watching artists and musicians create wonderful works of art. It's amazing to watch. People collect art, or music, from people they follow. It's part of our human connection.
Having said that, AI Art will make a huge impact. We can guess and theorize, but we won't know the full ramifications until later. One thing I believe, though, is that hand made art (traditional or digital) will not be going away.
But, how you make a living off your art could change.

This image began as a quick sketch in Corel Painter 2023, which is why I do not have a recording of the initial pencils. Once I realized I was going to do a full painting, I turned on a screen recorder. I ended up moving to Rebelle 6 to do most of the work and finish the painting.
