(C) 2020 by Timo Davids - Cruel Past
Song about a young girl led to suicide. I still don't know the reason and I barely knew her, but all I remember is the sadness she left in the heart of her family and friends. So it is all about what might led her to this last way out. The mess she left and the hope that life goes on and you keep her in memory.
The main part of the song was written in 2004 and was supposed to be melancholic with ups and downs. The lyrics from the original sheet didn't satisfy me. So I changed the lyrics and added the intro in 2020. I always wanted a "strong meaningful" intro. At least this is the text on my piano sheet. I made this strong bass drums in combination with a floating rythm. Like an angel/demon whispers words to you and tells you what you have to do. This might be more meaningful with the vocals added to this song.
She Can't Live Anymore
-- Voices from heaven --
Life is just so cruel - so I have to go (It has to end)
It's a pity dream - In my house of cards
Heaven's just so near - a blink away
-- Fades --
A beautiful cute teenager girl
With good faith in her mind
And of course a good sense of life
Just can't live anymore
'Cause she lost her friend
He didn't seehis fate
Ooh weeks of pity passed
And she can't live anymore
So the only way to kill the sorrow
Was to end it
A bridge was her last step
Hoping to have a fast death
But why did she do that?
Now she ain't livin' anymore
After that her friends were so sad
The girl didn't know
That she would hurt her family
With her last way out
She can't live anymore
But forgiveness takes time
Then we will see us in heaven again
Then we make jokes 'bout this
And we would live forever in heaven
