Back in 1988, I was making a one hour prime time television special for Ted Turner and his Turner Broadcasting company. Ted lived in South Carolina and loved the place. Each State was covered in the Turner Broadcasting series Portraits of America. Of course we cast the "talent" from real people but this scene presents the most wholesome folks. I met many like people with similar values while producing this television special. The woman speaking is Jean Eggan (sp?). A little town that she lived in is called Abbeville.
