When he was 5 years old, Matthew Torres’ hair was falling out in chunks. His concerned mother, Jovana, took him to a dermatologist, where he was diagnosed with alopecia totalis. After traditional—and painful—treatments failed, Jovana sought a second opinion with Northwell Health Dermatology, where specialists finally got Matthew on a successful path to full hair regrowth.
