The presence of workplace bullying is common worldwide. The Chinese business world is becoming highly competitive, and workplace bullying is considered to be a beneficial behavior for business success. It is hard to say whrther this is a good or bad behavior in general. Nevertheless, case study and research findings of Chinese respondents indicated that workplace bullying is costly for both organizations and employees. Ho Kwong Kwan suggests several ways by which management level and organizations can depress the incidence of workplace bullying, avoiding negative effects on the overall businness performance. Ho Kwong Kwan is an Associate Professor of Management in the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). His research interests include mentoring, leadership, deviant behaviors, and work-family interfaces. He grew up in Hong Kong, China and got his PhD degree in the United States. It is interesting and exciting for him to work in mainland China, because over the past four decades, economic reforms have led China to become a market-driven one, resulting in a changing business environment.
