Definitely lacking bass Sennheiser sound is much warmer, more accurate,fuller, with a much nicer balance. Sennheiser has a bass boost mode for anyone who wants to really jam out, but with or without it, the music all has incredible detail, depth, and instrument separation. There is really no contest here. The Sennheiser buds sound better with every genre I tried listening to (and I listened to quite a few).
