On December 29, 2022, I suffered a life-changing event in the form of a right side, hemorrhagic ("brain bleed" style) stroke, the aftermath of which has been one of the most challenging (and strangely fulfilling) times of my entire life.
Today, with your help (and the help of some of my YouTube friends), I'd like to give back to two of the medical facilities that helped save my life.
Reasonable Minds can Return...in Virtual Legality.

**MORE ON THE HOSPITALS**
Ascension Providence Hospital - Novi is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care, a level II trauma center, and a *Comprehensive Stroke Center*. Ascension Providence Hospital - Novi is a destination for specialty care. It was here where I was taken in the immediate aftermath of my stroke and where I received my brain surgery. https://healthcare.ascension.org/locations/michigan/midet/novi-ascension-providence-hospital-novi-campus
Chelsea Hospital is a joint venture of Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health. Chelsea Hospital is intended and operates as a community-centered, state-of-the-art hospital designed for comfort and healing. It is here where I stayed for almost a month receiving inpatient rehabilitation from the wonderful therapists introduced in Part III of this series.

**DONTATION GOALS AND PURPOSES**
Ascension Providence Hospital - Novi gifts will go to the hospital's Neurosurgical Residency Research Fund. This fund ensures that the hospital's neurosurgical residency program will strengthen existing clinical research and technological infrastructure, nurture residents’ well-being, advance educational opportunities, and help maintain patient care excellence while attracting the brightest and best neurosurgery trainees for years to come.
Chelsea Hospital gifts will go directly to the hospital's inpatient rehabilitation program. The Hospital has provided a list of items to add or replace in their rehab facility for physical, occupational, and speech therapy like what I received. These include everything from practical equipment like stability discs to the software needed for assessment, and even electrical stimulation equipment like the kind that helped me greatly in my recovery. The list also includes patient care items like mobility devices needed to help retrain the body to walk. Additionally, a portion of these gifts will be designated by the hospital for a patient-centric garden (plant lovers rejoice!). It would include a sitting area for patients and family and raised beds for patients to plant and manage. These gifts will have a lasting impact for generations.
