STORYLINE:
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen dropped in at a Beijing brewery on Monday as she wrapped up her visit to China.
Accompanied by U.S. Ambassador Nicholas Burns, Yellen went to Jing-A, a popular brewery co-founded by an American.
She ordered an IPA while Burns drank a lager.
After a sip, she described the taste as “excellent.”
Before the brewery visit, Yellen also went to Guozijian, a historic site which includes the Confucius Temple and used to serve as the imperial college in ancient times.
She then took a short walk through the site.
Yellen concluded her meetings with Chinese officials on Monday during her five-day trip with trade practices that put American companies and workers at an unfair competitive disadvantage at the top of her agenda.
