Some kids got a taste of what it would be like to work as a paramedic Thursday, June 25. The Blessing Early Learning Center invited paramedics to host an educational session for the center's kids.
It was to give kids a better understanding of what a paramedic do on a daily basis. This session was taught by students from the Blessing Hospital and John Wood Community College Paramedic program. It was a course requirement for the paramedic students to put together this session.
Kids got a look inside of an ambulance, examined some of the first-responder's equipment and sit on a stretcher. This session also served as a way to make kids less afraid of paramedics, if they ever respond to their residence.
Paramedic student Eric Nielsen spoke with KHQA about the event.
