When discussing art movements during the age of Modernism, it is impossible not to bring up the Italian movement of Futurism. Producing incredibly innovative and daring work, the Futurists pushed the progression of artistic expression to new heights. However, with the movement's ties to fascist ideology and its focus on the benefits of perpetual violence, Futurism died with the destruction of Mussolini's Italy in the 1940s. Despite the unfortunate messages of the art produced, it still must be appreciated and learned from as we enter a new era of technological advancement.
