Madhavi Latha is a national-level para-swimming champion.
She says swimming is good for everyone - persons with disabilities, senior citizens and even those who can’t do the strenuous exercise standing up.
But accessibility is the major issue at most common swimming pools, in hotels, schools, and even residential complexes.
But the swimming pool at Triumph Apartments at Arumbakkam in Chennai where Madhavi stays, is different from others.This one has a pool lift attached
While she was helped into the pool in the past, now Madhavi can access the pool through the swimming pool lift, all on her own
