Mao Zedong, the first Party leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), called the "united front" one of the CCP's three main winning strategies for defeating its enemies. It uses money, women, official ranks, and fame to bribe key figures of the enemy or people with social influence to work for it, thus forming an alliance to deal with any entity on its agenda. In the 40 years of China's gradual emergence as the world's second-largest economy, taking over Taiwan has been the most routine and practical goal of its united front strategy.
The results of the January 2024 election in Taiwan proved that the CCP's 40-year effort was ultimately a failure.
