The BMW M3 was a car built with racing in its DNA. Ever since the debut of the E30 M3, the M3 has been about bringing a track level performance into a subtle package that can be driven on the streets. The M3 is best known for its E46 incarnation: the GTR in particular for winning the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in 2004-2005 and its appearance in NFS Most Wanted as its "hero car." The E92 was the last generation of BMW M3 available as a V8 powered coupe. The following F80 would make the M3 into a sedan and has been so ever since.
In Hot Pursuit, the M3 is a Tier 2 Performance Car and is debatably one of if not the best in its category. The M3 excels in pretty much every aspect, its acceleration, top speed, nitro, and durability are all superb for its tier, and its topped off with its handling, its one of the easiest cars to drive because of how smooth its handling and drifting capabilities are.
