The View From Here continues for a sixth season on RTRFM, with 12 monthly instalments featuring some of our favourite local artists in iconic and unexpected locations across WA.
The seventh of 12 episodes sees the brilliance of New Nausea deep in the West Australian Wheatbelt on Paisley Farm in Bejoording, overlooking soon to be harvested canola crops.
The WA Wheatbelt is one of the world truly magical places. Rolling hills and valleys made up of farms and homesteads that feeds the country and the world.
About an hour and a half outside of Perth, just past Toodyay on the vast expanse of Paisley Farm and on Boodigicut Hill part of the mighty Yued Nation, New Nausea set up their instruments to play a five song set of their brilliantly crafted, melodic and haunting tunes.
New Nausea, the main band of songwriter Albert Pritchard sits wonderfully between indie pop and country twang with a sound that more poetic people may describe as perfectly West Australian. The perfect band then for the View From Here's first forray into the regional surrounds of Perth and into the heart of the State.
