Just poking around in an older MacBook Air. I started to remove components on the subject logic board only to find the damage was too great. So I decided to look at one of my replacements, only to find that the fan was spinning on high. I learned through the process of elimination that the heat pipe sensors are located on the DC in board on this model. Learned something new.
