With the new system stored procedure sp_invoke_external_rest_endpoint, available in Azure SQL Database, it is possible to call any REST service inside and outside Azure, unlocking integration opportunities that would otherwise require much more effort and complexity. In this episode with Anna Hoffman and Davide Mauri, we will discuss the use cases and the inner workings of sp_invoke_external_rest_endpoint, so that you can have a deep understanding of how it works and when to use it, and how the engineering team created safe guardrails to make sure accessing external resources can be done safely and efficiently.
