The Microsoft Activision deal has now been extended and will be allowed to close by October of this year. Since the FTC has lost its appeal, the Activision Blizzard purchase by Microsoft has been working with the CMA to address concerns and get the deal done. The CMA has allowed the Microsoft Activision case to be extended to August and will re-evaluate new findings in the case. Microsoft Activision deal extended means that in 2023 the deal will now close in October. The Microsoft deadline means that while Activision extends the deadline and the CMA extends the deadline that dividends will need to be paid should the Microsoft Activision deal fall apart.
