COVID-19 is a topic that hits home for nurse Elyse Isopo—both of her parents had the virus—which is one reason why she was first in line to get the BioNTech/Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. As a front line worker at North Shore University Hospital, Elyse has seen the worst of the pandemic's impact, but now she sees a bit of light at the end of the tunnel: “I feel like it gave me some hope,” she said. “It’s the beginning of the end of this war that we’ve been fighting.”
